Compare Your Area
The ‘Compare Your Area’ tool is a new feature from the Home Office which has been made available on the crime mapping site Police.uk.
This enables the public to compare crime levels in their communities and districts with other areas across Sussex and to see how recorded crime rates have changed over the past three years.
This tool will also enable you to see images of the convicted criminals in Sussex, together with a short summary of their crimes and sentences.
Other tools which will be added to Police.uk in the coming months include:
- the ability to ‘draw your area’, so you can search for crime information on a specific location, such as your neighbourhood watch area or local estate;
- email alerts so that you can receive automatic notifications when new updates are added or if an arrest on your street has led to a criminal sentence;
- the ability to compare the number of crimes between villages, estates or other ‘drawn’ areas.
