The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) recommends that those charged with governance and scrutiny receive regular updates on treasury management activity.

The Police & Crime Commissioner (PCC) has approved a recommendation to approve funding for 17 projects across 2018/19 and 2019/2020 under the Safe:Space funding network.

Applications were scored individually by 4 panel members who then reached a consensus. The highest scoring applications were then presented to the Commissioner for a final decision.

The Police and Crime Commissioner has approved the Treasury Management Annual Report 2017/18. The report is provided to the Commissioner under the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy’s (CIPFA) Code of Practice and informs her of Treasury Management activity during 2017/18.

The report was reviewed and approved by the Joint Audit Committee at their meeting on 30 July 2018.

The Police & Crime Commissioner has approved the recommendation to extend the Chief Constable's appointment for a period of one year from 3 July 2019 to 2 July 2020 on the current terms and conditions.

The Police & Crime Commissioner (PCC) has;

• Noted the revenue and capital outturn for 2017/18;
• Approved the capital financing;
• Approved the budget virements;
• Approved the carry forward requests;
• Approved the transfers to/from reserves. 

Financial Regulations require that the Chief Finance Officer and Director of Finance prepare an outturn report and recommend for approval by the PCC the use or transfer of surplus/deficit on revenue and capital budgets in line with the Reserves Policy. Capital Financing of the capital programme should also be approved.
