012/2022 Group Revenue and Capital Budget Monitoring to 30 December 2021

The Police and Crime Commissioner has noted:

[a] the net revenue budget forecast as at 31 December 2021;

[b]   the capital budget forecast as at 31 December 2021

The Police and Crime Commissioner has approved:

[c] the revenue and capital budget transfers (virements)

1. d) The creation of a new Reserve called ‘Cost of Change’ to fund longer term service changes to create future budget savings.
2. e) To initially fund the Reserve in the current financial year 2021/22 with £1.4m from the Chief Constables 2021/22 Fleet & Precept Contingency budget underspend.

The Police and Crime Commissioner has noted:

f)   That a request to transfer the balance of the underspend on the Chief Constables Operational revenue budget for 2021/22 to the Cost of Change is reserved until after the end of the financial year when the effects of the unprecedented inflationary pressures on the budget are better understood and forecast.
