017/2014 Victims’ Services Funding 2014-15

From 1 October, the PCC has inherited the responsibility for commissioning support services to victims. To support this requirement, she has approved the following recommendations:

1. The approval of an allocation of £250,000 to Local Authority as lead commissioners to support specialist services to victims of domestic violence and sexual crime.

2. Funds to be provided to Brighton & Hove Police Division to support a Medium Risk Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA)

3. A competed fund to be established to pump-prime capacity for Voluntary & Community Social Enterprise (VCSE) to provide support services to victims of crime.
