017/2017 Appointment of Independent Member of the Joint Audit Committee

The Police & Crime Commissioner has approved the appointment of Mr M Heap and Professor S Shute as fourth and fifth members of the Joint Audit Committee for a four year term from 11 July 2017.

With the conclusion of Mr R Murphy’s term with the Joint Audit Committee, as a means of succession planing and maximising the collective knowledge of the current members, interviews identified two exceptional candidates. The appointed members will commence in their role following completed checks, with their first Joint Audit Committee meeting taking place on 20 September 2017.
