Surrey & Sussex Criminal Justice Partnerships

Joint Vision

“A joined-up modernised quality criminal justice service that delivers value for money for the community and inspires public confidence”. This is the joint vision of The Surrey and Sussex Criminal Justice Partnerships (SSCJP).

The SSCJP also assists other strategic partnerships by providing a gateway to senior criminal justice leaders and to act as a reference group and a consultative group in the wider context of criminal justice transformation and reform.

What is the SSCJP?

The Surrey and Sussex Criminal Justice Partnerships are two Local Criminal Justice Boards based on police force areas across England and Wales. The partnerships allow criminal justice agencies to come together, agree priorities and identify local strategic direction.

Our aim is for local and national criminal justice agencies to work together across Surrey & Sussex to create a system where we work together to achieve common aims and objectives. We are committed to improving public confidence in the Criminal Justice System for all communities.

Victims and witnesses are at the heart of everything we do, whether that is improving opportunities for reporting crime, for providing support in line with need or ensuring that the formal court process remains effective at holding offenders to account.

A breakdown of how the SSCJP is funded can be found here
