This consultation sets out the Government’s proposals for further reform of the legal aid system in England and Wales.
The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) plans to reform youth custody will see young people appropriately punished while at the same time learning to take responsibility for their actions and gaining the skills and qualifications they need to lead productive, law-abiding lives. The consultation invites views and outline proposals from a wide range of stakeholders and providers describing how they would implement the vision for secure colleges.
The government is consulting on how to implement proposals from Tom Winsor's Independent Review of Police Officer and Staff Remuneration and Conditions.
‘Transforming Rehabilitation – a revolution in the way we manage offenders" describes the Government’s proposals for reforming the delivery of offender services in the community to reduce reoffending rates whilst delivering improved value for money for the tax payer.
