Home Office - Reforming the Independent Police Complaints Commission

The Home Office consultation sought opinions on proposed changes to the Independent Police Complaints Commission’s (IPCC) governance and structure. Following Sheila Drew Smith’s review the government is consulting publicly on its proposals for changing the way the IPCC is organised. The government intends to legislate to implement reforms to the IPCC’s governance as soon as practicable.
