IPCC: Oversight of the Police Complaints System

The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) launched a consultation regarding a new draft strategy to improve oversight of the police complaints system. The draft strategy outlined the steps that the IPCC propose to take, in cooperation with others – including PCCs, Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary and the College of Policing - to help improve complaints handling and ensure lessons are learnt. The IPCC sought responses on the draft strategy.
